Sure you love your handbag, but would you dive into a toilet after it?

One girl did, and got stuck in a long-drop toilet as a result, Sky News Online reports.

The young British woman, referred to only as "Charlotte" by Sky News, was attending the Leeds Festival in England when she accidentally dropped her beloved handbag down the toilet.

Her solution? Reach in and grab it.

Unfortunately for Charlotte, in the course of her "Trainspotting"-style move, she reached in so far that her shoulders got wedged against the toilet seat, forcing her friends to go and seek help.

A festival fire crew of seven men rushed to her rescue and tried in vain to dismantle the toilet seat. After about 20 minutes, however, the firemen were forced to yank Charlotte out through the seat, leaving several bruises, reports the source.

"I think most people would have left the bag," Charlotte's cousin Katie told Sky, "but it had all of her money in it, her phone and her tickets home -- her life, really."

Katie told the news outlet that, amazingly, Charlotte stayed at the festival despite her incident.

"She was hosed down, which was a bit embarrassing," Katie told Sky News, "but she hadn't been covered in anything as her hands were a good few feet above it. She went to get changed and she stayed for the rest of the festival. It did spoil it a little bit." (Ya think?)

Still, this "crappy" day does have a happy ending. The firemen were able to retrieve Charlotte's precious purse, giving us new appreciation for a man in a uniform. (It better have been a freakin' Chanel for her to have taken the headfirst plunge in after it, though we secretly hope it was a Poo-cci.)

That soaked sucker (the bag) better have gotten one heck of a bleach bath!
