Fifteen-year-old Tallulah Willis has ignited an Internet war between her actress mom Demi Moore and gossip blogger Perez Hilton. But talk-show host Tyra Banks has already stepped in to broker peace.
First, the history of the feud:
"Clearly Perez Hilton isn't taking violating child pornography laws very seriously. He might not but there are a lot of people who do!," Moore thundered via her Twitter account, after Perez drew attention to the party snap of a slightly disheveled Tallulah and added some salty commentary.
"Anyone who advertises follows or supports Perez supports violating child pornography laws!" she added. And in a separate Tweet: "Let me ask all of you, what is it called when someone is telling people to look and focus on a child's 'boobs & ass' while providing photos?"
In addition to the party picture, Perez also linked to a cheeky "gotcha" snap of the Tallulah falling out the back of her shorts while she reached up to kiss her dad, Bruce Willis. (While the pictures do not show Tallulah at her most lady-like, it's still strange to see an actress famous for posing nude on two Vanity Fair covers calling such a small flash of skin "pornography.")
Certainly Hilton seems to relish the controversy. He used his own Twitter feed to bash Moore for her mommy-ing skills and ridicule a threatening letter sent to him by her lawyer.
Ironically, the simmering weeks-old feud that has reached boiling point in the last few days might have already been settled by Tyra Banks.
Hilton is a guest on her Season Five opening show, which airs September 8 but was taped on August 18. According to a source on set: "Tyra let him have it for the whole Tallulah thing as well as other young girls that he's gone after. They battled it out a bit until she got him to promise to stop [going after under-age subjects] for six months.
"But he didn't do it for free, of course. They made a deal that if he lays off the younger targets for six months she will have him as a guest on 'America's Next Top Model.' It wasn't clear when the six months starts."
If she pulls this off, maybe Tyra will be eligible for a Gossip Peace Prize.
This isn't the only celebrity feud going on, of course. Check this one out!
