Everyone in NYC is talking about Fashion's Night Out! September 10th, Anna Wintour (her holiness) and Mayor B. are sponsoring a chic soiree to bring the spirit of shopping (AT RETAIL) back. Every major store is having some kind of bash from 6-11p.m. Nonstop!
Purple Lab is having a purple fest at Scoop Street, the gleaming space on the corner of 14th and Washington (875 Washington to be exact) in the Meatpacking District (best nabe, BTW, for unleashing your credit card!).
Here's the dish: We have five adorable models trolling the streets, decked in little Purple Lab tees, zipper-detailed Democracy of Nevermind jeans, and cute Matt Bernson flats. With purple cigarette trays strapped to their bodies, they'll be passing out invitations to the event all over the city (if you see the girls with big helium lip shaped balloons, they're ours!).

Veronica Varlow, the fab performess, will be blowing kisses and flirting in the windows. If you're lucky, she'll write you a love note (that's right - she'll have a purple Sharpie and paper in hand). We are designing all three windows with the help of someone called Sarah Sparkles (could you die with that name?). She is a window genius and works with Bergdorf too!
The suave Brit (the ladies love him) Colin Asare-Appiah of U'Luvka Vodka is mixing up Lychee Martinis (after our color, of course!).
DJ Lips has two turntables and a microphone (and a purple power playlist). Charu, the cutie bloggess behind Butterflydiary.com and her hubby, Matt, are baking cupcakes (no sugar and vegan - but not melba toasty, I swear!). Their new biz is called Cupcake Republic! Dee-lish!
And check it out - Ford Fiesta, the mini, kind of Euro cool mobile, is providing "agents" who will be giving sweet rides to our blogger friends, VIPs and "twiends." Did I mention the car is magenta? And they'll be blasting the playlist from DJ Lips.
