While Rolling Stone just announced today that Janet Jackson will perform a musical tribute to her late brother at MTV's Video Music Awards this weekend, she's paying early homage in the October issue of Harper's Bazaar with this world exclusive interview, out on newsstands today.

When writer Laura Brown asks Jackson to talk about her brother Michael's legacy, Jackson replies: "Bringing light and love and happiness. He's just got so much love, and so much heart, and so much power through his music. He was just that giving, loving person. And the greatest entertainer there ever was. And is."

The 43-year-old knockout is an appropriate cover girl for Bazaar's annual "Fabulous At Every Age" issue, and her touching story is accompanied by a gorgeous photospread shot by Tom Munro, where Jackson dons sexy body-conscious clothing.

"I love shoulder pads, a nipped waist," she tells Brown of her current Fourties-inspired wardrobe. She also says Roland Mouret and Alexander McQueen are favorites, along with Christian Louboutin, YSL, Alaïa, and Giuseppe Zanotti heels, for which she has dedicated a special room in her house.

She goes on to reveal that Michael was a fan of none other but current fashion world favorite, Balmain. She says the last day she saw him, on May 14 (Michael died on June 25), "he had a Balmain jacket on. He had a few of them -- all black, jeweled, studded, with rhinestones."

She also talks about his thing for bling, which sometimes caused him to hijack sparkly items from their mother. "If it was shiny, if it had any kind of bling, he loved it. It was that drummer-boy look," she said. "Do you remember that black jacket he wore for Motown's 25th anniversary? [When Michael debuted his famous moon walk] That's our mother's! He grabbed that from her closet! He loved anything that sparkled."

You'll see plenty of Jackson shining herself in the months to come, with a book about diet and self-esteem on the way and a new album and tour early next year.

Be sure to check her out this weekend at the VMA's. In the meantime, read her entire world exclusive interview at HarpersBazaar.com.

I was very sad by Michael Jackson's passing. He was a beautiful soul and a great

talent. God Bless Kenny Ortega and all of M.J.'s team on the work they put in on

THIS IS IT. It is not how he planned to leave it I suppose, but I have to tell you , I think

he left us with a loving, and inspiring gift. It allowed us to not only see this fun and

exciting talent work. It also revealed to me how much love, and integrity he really had.

God Bless his family. My question is this, I saw and heard a song by Janet Jackson

from the home page of my pc. It had Black Jaguar Cats And it was so beautiful!!

Janet was so pretty and was singing this amazing Happy song about M.J. smiling

down from heaven. I'm sorry I don't remember the actual words, the next day it was off

of my home page. Can anyone tell me what this beautiful song is and the name of the

DVD it would be in??????????
