Desert, Stormed: The goal at Erin Wasson x RVCA was to look stranded. And gorgeous. Photo: Laura Kenney

MAKEUP: Charlotte Willer for Maybelline
HAIR: Kevin Ryan for R Session Tools
SNAPSHOT: Beautiful hipsters, stranded in the desert

THE SCOOP: "Lost" has never looked so luscious. To flatter Wasson's color palette of taupes, camels and jades, the hair and makeup worked together to create a "stranded in the desert" look. "They got a bit roughed up, but look fab of course," said Willer, who used a neutral palette with lots of bronzer. Hair was wavy and messy; And good news for those who like the idea of looking a little off the grid: It turns out that all one needs to create locks that look like they've been scorching in the sun for two weeks is a little heat and a lot of Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. Ryan summed it up well: "If they look neglected, they're done."

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by Maybelline. Willer created "imperfect" brown smoky eyes with Eye Studio, punctuated by lots of Lash Stiletto Mascara. Skin was perfected skin with Liquid Mousse Foundation, then bronzed it with Mineral Powder and gave cheeks a pop of color with Mineral Blush in Plum Cheeks. Lips got stained pink with a smudge of Color Sensation Lipstick in #43.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: Ryan spritzed hair with loads of Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray, then twisted hair into tons of thin coils and pinned them on the models heads and blasted them with heat to dry. Just before hitting the runway, the coils were released and teased to reveal strands that looked perfectly mussed up.
