INSPIRATION: An urban-dwelling lady exploring her femininity through shape and patterns.

TOP LOOKS: Cable knit sweater with exaggerated shoulders and silver chain detailing worn with gold pleated shorts; asphalt-hued skirts and tank dresses with cobalt piping; bright blue floral print finale dress with a ruffled hip and hem and a sharp jacket thrown over top.

ACCESSORIES: Towering floral heels in vivid colors; cat-eye sunglasses by Thierry Lasry; floral bags of all shapes and sizes (slouchy hobos, slim envelopes) and turnlock belts to match.

WHO WAS THERE: Mena Suvari, Tiffani Thiessen, Miss Universe 2009, Jill Zarin and Countess LuAnn De Lesseps from "Real Housewives of New York City."

WHAT WE THOUGHT: Turning out frilly blouses and frocks along with polished and tailored pieces to keep the froth in check is what Rebecca Taylor does best season after season.

For Spring 2010 she imagined a young woman who works, lives and plays in the city but uses her uber-feminine floral dresses, polka dot denim and cozy sweaters to work against the stereotypical hard-as-nails urban persona and wardrobe. It's all about those softer elements mixed with a few pieces that are more hard and structured. Think boyfriend blazers, dresses with architecturally inspired seams and super sturdy platform heels (but in pretty floral fabrics).

The neo-hippie vibe of the collection (courtesy of the floral prints and easy breezy shapes) should make dressing for Coachella and the rest of the 2010 summer fests a snap.
