VIBE: Goth girls in the mist

BEST LOOKS: Fringed, carefully beat-up and ripped-up and put-back-together-again dresses in black, red, gray and tan.

ACCESSORIES: Major tribal tattoo work (temporary, presumably); Nicholas Kirkwood stilettos; and a misty runway of pebbles

WHO WAS THERE: Elijah Wood, Jason Schwartzman, Kirsten Dunst

WHAT WE THOUGHT: The Mulleavy sisters are two of the reining darlings of the fashion world, presenting fantastic collections that often speak of a far-off future where clothing may be a little wrecked, but it sure is pretty. Filled with ripped and wrapped dresses made of fabric distressed in a half-dozen ways, this dramatic collection wowed. You saw it first on the runway, now look for it on the red carpets.
