Cop, I totally disagree with your post. I am a correctional officer in a closed custody prison and have been for the past 10 years. I am female and I consider myself quite attractive.It is not how you look but the way you do your job. I do not have this problem with inmates or fellow officers. It's about respect and I am not a fat cow. I can do my job better than most males.

COP....So, you think a woman should stay home and get pregnant? That's the mentality "barefoot and pregnant" that belongs in the dark ages. Women have the brains to do anything a man can , often times a woman does it better than a man. A woman can do any job a man can do as long as she has a desire to do the job, and the strength. I don't think any woman would be foolish enough to take on a job that requires more strength than she knows she is capable of handling.

Cop, have you ever looked a female officer or guard (of any sort, prison, HLS, ect) or solider in the eye when they are on duty? No? Shame, cause you would find a woman who had to work twice as hard, be twice as fast, twice as smart, and at least in the US get paid more often then not, considerably less for the same position as their male counter parts.

We women, do not take jobs because we are trying to be 'men' we do those jobs because we love the work, it is what we want to do.

She knew this when she got the job, that it is not for her. Just like many women that think they are men and become police officers and prison guards. When they can't take the heat they sue because they are unable to perform their duties, she should have stayed home and gotten pregnant. Woman cannot do a man's job! Unless your a big cow!

If it weren't narrow minded people like you, many women would not be treated like trash and be put in the same category as fraile and weak. Then they wouln't have to sue to be treated with respect as they deserve. There are many small women that could kick your but and they are not "cows". Talk to my wife with that attitude and see what happens!

You are ignorant, Cop! Stop hiding behind that plastic badge and deal with reality. Women are just as effective in the fields you mentioned(police officer/prison guard), and moreso within these jobs in various duties.
I effectively worked inside a men's state prison for nine years. I took that job because it allowed me to be home before my children arrived home after school. It also gave me a lot of freedom in that I had vacation leave/sick leave time and it provided me with really good health insurance. I never ONCE felt like a man when I put that uniform on, and I can assure you I didn't look like a cow either.

I just reired from the military. It was not unusual for me to work 17 hours a day 7 days a wk for months on end. I am a female. I loved being deployed. Many of the men I worked with were great, but a few cried like babies when it came time to get up in the morning. Sometimes I would have to go and pull them out of their rack. The men who worked for me wrote over 100 letters of appreciation. I had to be better than any guy to get their respect, and I was. I don't know this woman. She could be a poser. I do know that it was not unusual for the people I worked for to give me #@&* because I was a pretty female. In the military you can't sue, you have to learn to deal with it, and be strong. I am glad I have the "balls" I have today. I bet you talking smack from where you are. I bet you would never say what you say to a strong pretty woman's face. Ha,ha,ha. What a loser.

Male cops can't do their jobs right either~ Rape women, Go thru red lights when they feel like it, Take money or drugs,Harrass women, Break the law when they feel like it & get away w/it !!! Harrass any drivers WHEN they think drivers are breaking the law & Plussss COPS DO NOT go by the speed limits no matter where we are, It happens every where! Men are no better than women & First of all I rather have police women on the streets than men because I do not trust male cops w/myself or young & old people in our world!!!

i wonder when u see males making a living as nurses, chefs, seamstrees, selling clothes, being nannys, and secretaries, do u think they are trying to be women? hmmn. if she had known she would be treated that way, dont u think she wouldn't have taken the job? think man think. and no where in that article does it state that she couldnt do the job? she was prevented from doing her job which is why she will know be compensated, but even if she couldnt do her job, she shouldnt have had to be treated like that,nobody should. u take them into your office and talk to them about their career chose and then say such and such and ill give u so many days to clean up your act or i'll have to let u go, thats what so call smart men would do, guess they arent very smart...

FYI, there are female police officers that do the job very effectively if not better than most men and are not fat cows. Move out of the sticks!
