THE SCOOP: Every season, Kimora Lee Simmons, aka "Miss Fabulousity," serves up spellbinding fashions. And for Baby Phat Spring 2010, Simmons unveiled "Moroccan Kiss," a seductive collection of dresses, tunics, minis, and rompers in rich shades of purple, gold and turquoise.
Inspired by model-actress Marisa Berenson, circa 1972, James Kaliardos perfected a Moroccan eye by layering on shades of midnight blue, black and lavender. "It's sexy, beautiful and exaggerated because it's Baby Phat," he said. "Its nice to use all those colors on the face and see how it all comes together."
Hairstylist Odile Gilbert used dark extensions to create sexy, bouncy locks that look "expensive like Beyoncé and Mariah Carey." A thick French braid crowned the models' manes for added texture.
CND developed false gold nails from a high shine foil for the "traditional Baby Phat manicure" to round out the earthy tones in the designs. And toes were painted in a sheer bronze lacquer.
