THE SCOOP: For Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti Spring 2010, Italian designer Alberta Ferretti meshed interesting prints and shapes on top of her usual fabrics of chiffon and silk. So for the makeup, Diane Kendal mimicked the subtle beauty of a young girl to accentuate the collection.
"The inspiration for the look is a little bit Sixties - but not a literal interpretation," said Kendal. "The clothing is young and short, so we wanted to reflect that and not make the models look too cute."
The secret behind Kendal's muted face is simply toning it down with foundation so that the eyes become the focal point.
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by MAC. For this barely there look, even out skin with Face and Body Foundation and minimize shine with Blot Powder Pressed. Draw a thin line on top lid with Cremestick Liner in Black and coat top lashes with mascara. To complete, use fingers to apply Lipstick in Myth for a slightly nude and chalky finish.
