TOP LOOKS: Black and orchid silk crepe dress; white silk linen organza jacket with matching tank and jacquard pant; pale green silk crepe dress; long flowing white and mercury gowns to close out the show
ACCESSORIES: Tall sandals in black and white with criss-cross lacing by Edmundo Castillo
WHO WAS THERE: Jessica Alba, Courtney Love
WHAT WE THOUGHT: Rodriguez is another one of Michelle Obama's preferred designers who knocked it out of the park this season. It was a simple and sound collection but these days, that's a good thing. Racer-back dresses and others with cut-outs embodied a louche coolness that are sure to be snapped up by fashionistas far and wide. Pants were tailored to fit like a glove and there were even digital prints on silk tops and dresses (new for Rodiguez). Those included a rain pattern which looked like polka dots splatters and a silver swirl made to look like spilled mercury.
For the finale, the two long billowing gowns in white and silver silk, respectively, were a dramatic and elegant end. We wouldn't be surprised to see at least one front row attendee (that's you Alba!) sporting that come red carpet awards season.
