INSPIRATION: "Lineal Study," a study of conical shapes, volume and architectural structures
TOP LOOKS: High tech, shiny fabrics looked wet, while being voluminous beyond belief. Skirts and shorts were fitted on the inner layer and then a top layer was added for volume and shape.
ACCESORIES: High-heeled "court shoes" -- a four-inch high stiletto pump the models could barely walk on.
WHO WAS THERE: Carolina Herrera, "America's Next Top Model's" Nigel Barker
WHAT WE THOUGHT: Carolina Herrera has taken this Spaniard under her wing and is throwing her considerable support to him. His crazy conical shapes make us believe he knows what he's doing when it comes to the manipulation of fabric, fit and tailoring. While some of the pieces are wearable straight from the runway, many of these will have to be reinterpreted in a more mainstream way.
