Plus-sized beauties go au naturel for Glamour's November issue. Photo: Matthias Vriens-McGrath for Glamour

A month ago, we reported on Glamour's efforts to push the boundaries of accepted beauty norms with a photo shoot for its November issue featuring all plus-sized models -- in the buff.

And now, the picture we've all been waiting for: seven plus-size knockouts -- Crystal Renn, Lizzie Miller, Amy Lemons, Ashley Graham, Kate Dillon, Anansa Sims and Jennie Runk -- all showing off what their mamas gave them.

In the article accompanying the photograph (and yes, all the models actually ate the catered food at the shoot!), Glamour writer Genevieve Field discusses the fashion industry's obsession with weight, explaining that any model over a size 6 is often considered plus-size because she's too big for the designer samples that typically run from a size 0-4.

Field also talks about the stigma associated with high-end designers producing garments over size 12, giving kudos to Michael by Michael Kors, Baby Phat and Isaac Mizrahi for Liz Clairborne -- all brands that embrace size 14 and above.

We heart Scarlett Johansson, Glamour's November cover girl. Photo courtesy of Glamour.

As Glamour editor-in-chief Cindi Leive writes on her blog, the staff is completely behind the push for a "body image revolution," which will include a commitment "to featuring a greater range of body types in our pages," she writes, "including in fashion and beauty stories (traditionally the toughest areas for even the top 'plus-size' models to crack)."

It seems even the stunning Scarlett Johansson, who appears on Glamour's November cover, has been slightly upstaged by the bevy of beauties wearing even less than the sans pants actress/singer. And that takes a lot! Pick up the November issue to get your Johansson fix.

Glamour's readers were torn between this new agenda to see more women like themselves in magazines versus the more idealized skinny versions. Where do you stand?

Weigh in, no pun intended, with a comment below.

Plus, read about Glamour model Crystal Renn's struggle with an eating disorder before becoming a plus-size model in our StyleList exclusive.

If these women are plus size then I am Twiggy! None of those models were a 1,2, or 3x. They were just normal sized women. Put a picture with "real" plus sized women and then I will be impressed!

I agree these are not plus sizes. But I have to say this society is not realistic on images of people, women in particular. I find all women are beautiful and I wish they all could see that in themselves. It is not the size but whether they groom themselves and their attitude. I'd rather be with a larger woman who has a great outlook on life and herself then a one who is "perfect" and has a bad attitude. Heres to all women and the beautiful people you all are!!!!

Plus sized? Are you kidding me?!?!? They are so NOT plus sized! I am a plus sized female...in a size 18W...and youre calling a 12/14 as plus sized? Give me a break! How about GLAMOUR do a casting call for some REAL plus sized females for their pages...because those models are normal sized...to me they look skinny...those tiny "rolls" i see on a couple models...are just because of the way theyre posed!

it is about time. For too long women have pigeon holed into what is acceptable by designers and hollywood. I will buy this edition simply for the "plus size" models, although I agree they just look normal to me. The look healthy and beautiful. Thank you Glamour!!

These women are hardly "plus" size - I don't understand that term being used on women who clearly are not even near what should be considered "plus" sized - I would consider "PLUS" size to be a size 16 or higher, these women definitely don't even look like they are a size 10. As the mother of two daughters, one of which has been referred to by other women to be "heavy" (even though she wears a size 3), I find the fact that these women are being labeled as "plus" size to be a step backwards in society when it comes to setting an example for young girls.

Shame on you Glamour Magazine - these women are totally normal - certainly not plus size by any stretch of the imagination.

A real plus size person that one sees in the mall or somewhere is "SLOPPY AND OBESE" these girls are not that. So your attempt to show people who have a few extra pounds does not agree with what is in the real world. Nice try, but as a photographer of women, I would say that you FAILED!!!

I think this is a gorgeous photo of normal/average size women..... Thank you Glamour. I hope this is only the first step in the right direction.

I don't really understand why these models are considered plus size. Plus size is a women's size 16 and up. These women look like 10-14. This is what a normal model should look like. They're average women. One thing I don't understand is why a store gets more quantities of sizes 0-6 clothing. They'd make more money if they'd stock more of the other sizes. Sizes 0-6 ends up in the clearance rack most of the time

It is very sad that a size 6 is considered plus size. I would consider myself skinny at a size 12.

But at least it is a step in the right direction. We need our children to grow up with a better idea of what is normal and not go through all the body image bashing that comes from looking at our current view of beauty (size 0-2).

I think these women look beautiful! It's important for kids, boys and girls alike, to realize that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

Those women are not plus sized. They would be normal size, regular women. Not beanpoles who look ridiculous. I agree with Sharlene - not a one of them wears anything over a 12-14 at most. Please.

As far as I can see these ladies are beautiful, however they ARE NOT PLUS SIZE. These pictures actually are real for the normal sized woman. Being 6 foot and busty does not make you a PLUS SIZE.

As a real pluz size gal, I think they are beautiful. I was never considered skinny. Seems like I went from 0 - 16. Can't wait to see the mag. Finally curves we can truly appreciate seeing when we open the mag. Especially when I look in the mirror after losing 40lbs, I see these ladies and feel good about me! Don't want to be a twig! Plus size doesn't necessarily mean overweight, unhealthy, sloppy challenged women who wear size 18W's and up. Plus size means you have hips, breasts larger than a A/B cup, rounder figure. They remind me of a Renaissance photo. Beautiful and way to go Glamour!

After reading the earlier posts I have come to a couple of conclusions:

the term " plus size " seems to be relative . Tall women feel plus sized, heavier women feel plus sized, the anorexic looking models would think anything over 90 lbs is plus sized.

I agree with the majority though, these look like "normal" or "average" sized women. And yes, women with curves are very attractive
