Getting Purse-onal - Dog and Handbag Look-Alikes. (At Least You Don't Have to Clean Up After One of Them)

In my recent quest to find a fabulous new pooch, I have officially accepted that I am bag crazy.

Now that I'm familiar with the numerous breeds, I actually see unique, dog-like features when I gaze at handbags!

But don't go trying to contact my mother or husband out of concern for my well-being just yet.

Take a good look at the Rulla Ponti shoulder bag (above left) from Emre New York and tell me that the intricate piping along its front pockets doesn't remind you of the wrinkles on a Pug's face.

The brand's logo plate serves as the "nose," while the handles' base design most definitely resembles "eyes."

Still think I'm one clutch away from being committed?

Both the handbag and the dog are cute as can be, and great examples of a woman's best friend.

The pebbled leather finish on this bag is so soft that you may have the urge to pet it. It's okay, your secret's safe with me.

Yet, one thing this Emre New York handbag has over the Pug is that If you decide the pouty pooch is too heavy to carry, it's not going to miraculously turn into a toy poodle.

However, this bag has multiple strap options allowing for hand-held, over-the-shoulder and cross-body carrying. Score one for the bag!

So, next time you see a Komondor -- a type of dog with mop-like hair -- on the street and a classic Prada Fringe Bag pops into your head, think of me. You know I'll be stroking my Emre hobo, er, Pug.

Purse-onally Yours,
