The good news: A Japanese company has created a new defense against swine flu, The Telegraph reports.

The bad news: It's a suit. For men.

And they say chivalry is dead.

But it's all good. Running around dressed like Annie Lennox circa 1983 is still significantly less embarrassing than wearing a surgical mask in public.

Besides, the £365 (around $580) suit developed by Haruyama Trading Co. is pretty suave. It's sharply tailored and available in navy, charcoal gray, medium gray and gray pinstripe, according to the paper..

And let's not overlook the safety factor. The Telegraph adds that the suit, which a company spokesman says will go on sale tomorrow, is coated with titanium dioxide, a common light-reacting chemical found in toothpaste and cosmetics that breaks down and kills viruses.

The World Health Organization recorded more than 340,000 swine flu cases and 4,100 deaths worldwide, as reported by the paper.

Sounds like a good reason to suit up!
