Dior Announces New Cell Phones

Check out the second generation of the Dior collection.
And yes, if you didn't already know, Christian Dior does phones.
It should come as no surprise: they're pretty and very, very pricey.
Choose from five different slim, flip design styles with varying embellishments, including black and white sapphire crystals, gold, diamonds and mother-of-pearl -- they range from $6,500 to $13,400 (the latter is available by special order only).
But what makes the phone so brilliant, in addition to being one of the most prestigious handsets around, is the included "mini My Dior phone" which can be hooked to your bag or just rest discreetly in your hand.
It operates on its own or in tandem -- allowing you to answer or place calls without having to take out the larger phone. You can use it up to 15 meters away from the Dior phone with its wireless Bluetooth technology.
Speaking of which, there's also a matching Bluetooth Headset for $470. The phones will be available in December (ring, ring... clue phone, it's for your boyfriend!), but you can pick up the headset now.
This phone might be pricey but other designers are making iPhone apps that don't cost a thing!

I've been researching this phone to try and find any substantial justification for its price... honestly, it is beautiful, but not lack lustre when it comes to contributing to the world of design.. and the my phone seemed like a good idea at first, but then... why not just buy a smaller phone instead or get a headset? AND what happens when you lose it?
