Looking to update your beauty look for fall?

Here are a few tips on top fall beauty trends: The 80's are back (in a good way) and you'll be safety dancing (and killing radio stars) in Cyndi Lauper makeup and Grace Jones hair, as seen on the Fall 2009 runways at Marc Jacobs, Tibi, and Giorgio Armani.

You won't wear your hair down again, ever, as intricate buns and glamorous ponytails ruled the runways at shows like Max Azria and Carolina Herrera.

You won't be fully dressed for fall without a (big, red) smile, because flapper-era perfectly sculpted matte red lips are huge, perhaps due to the economic climate, says makeup artist Tom Pecheux: "It's true that women wear red lipstick during recessions," he said backstage at Isaac Mizrahi. "When you don't have enough money for a new outfit, handbag or shoes, you can still buy a new lipstick. But when you do spend the money, you want it to be impactful, and red lips change everything!"

And finally, gray will be your new black - it was the go-to color for eyes, nails, and even lips (yes, really), as we saw below at Rachel Roy's Fall 2009 presentation.

Read on for all the fall trends.
