Airbrush makeup has been a trick of the trade for top makeup artists looking to create an ultra-natural, long-lasting finish for their clients. The fine mist technology makes skin look perfect (so long, pores!) and it can last all day without budging.

Temptu is the leader in airbrush makeup -- they've been doing it on set for movies and magazine shoots since 1996. And now they've brought their (previously) professionals-only technology exclusively to Sephora and Sephora.com and launched the Temptu Airbrush Makeup System.

All you do is watch the instructional DVD, stick the foundation, blush, or highlighter pod into the air compressor, and voilà! - you're ready to airbrush. It'll take a bit of practice, but the system was designed to be incredibly user-friendly -- in other words, the mist comes out in such a smooth stream that you won't accidentally spray all over your face and hair.

But even knowing all that, some peeps are still going to be intimidated by the gadget, so I called up Temptu's Pro Lead Trainer Dani Fonseca to clear it all up.

Q: Why is airbrush makeup so awesome?
A: It's a way to get an absolutely flawless finish while maintaining a lightweight feel. This is a silicone-based formula so it's very natural and looks like actual skin. It's amazing.

Q: Does it really stay on all day?
A; If you want to give it a timeline it's 18 hours of wear. But it will stay on until you take it off with makeup remover. It's humidity-proof, and you can sweat and cry. But it will come off easily when you're ready.

Q: Is the at-home system easy to use?
A: Absolutely! It's one machine -- all you do is interchange the pods. No cleaning, no mess -- nothing that will even drip. My professional system has 17 parts that you have to clean, but with the at-home system the everyday woman doesn't have to deal with a lot of parts.

Q: So it's really like giving the everyday woman a makeup artist's power tool?
A: All you do is figure out the right distance from your face and pull the trigger -- and that's it. Then your face looks amazing and it took you 5 seconds.

Ok -- we're sold!
