Burberry Protects its Plaid, Sues Pets at Home for Copyright Infringement

British fashion house Burberry is taking the UK-based pets supply store to court over its signature Burberry plaid pattern, reports Guardian UK.
Burberry claims that Pets at Home violated copyright laws by selling dog coats and baskets in its 250 stores that used a plaid pattern similar to the fashion label's own iconic design.
Pets at Home has pulled the plaid-happy dog accessories from its shops but Burberry isn't stopping there and has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit, says the site.
There's courtroom hope yet. Perhaps the dueling duo will find a way to settle out of court like these two fashion companies,

Wow Burberry really dont miss a trick here do they? Im sure there are many more companies who have copied in a similar fashion. I wonder if it works for packaging such as dog food etc? Though it does seem like dog and cat accessories are becoming a fashion sector of their own nowadays!
