When we first heard rumors that Jean Paul Gaultier was the next Designer Collaboration for Target, we thought it was too good to be true.

But it's a happy day for recessionistas everywhere: Target has confirmed that JPG will indeed be the third designer for its Designer Collaboration series, as reported by WWD.

With this mix of French high fashion and US accessibility, our minds are spinning from the possibilities. The retailer told the sourse that Jean Paul Gaultier for Target will celebrate the American woman in pop culture, past and present.

Does that mean JPG will go Material Girl with affordable cone bras? Or recreate Rihanna's daring cut-out style for the masses?

We'll have to wait until March 7, when the line hits stores and online, to find out. But unlike Anna Sui and Alexander McQueen before him, Gaultier's collaboration will have a more limited release.

Sui's "Gossip Girl"-inspired collection was available at 600 stores, while JPG for Target will only be sold at 250 stores nationwide, reports the site.

Target sure knows how to create a shopping frenzy!

Lucky for us, the Minnesota-based retailer keeps the collaborations coming. Get a sneak peek at the latest designer accessories line launching at Target.
