I cant even begin to explain how happy I was when I received the first package from BlueFly.com. Having no idea what the first item was going to be so it was hard to pre plan in your head any ideas for what to do. And oddly enough I was pretty excited to work with a vest I would probably never pick up for my own personal exterior based on the cobalt blue color alone, even though the vest itself is really a great piece.

As previous entries open your eyes to my dark closet, blue really doesn't hang amongst the shelf. But I think that made it all the more fun in putting a style together on my model the reflected my personality but also tied in the piece. Helen and I share similar interests and I wanted to have someone who would really " wear the clothes, not the clothes wear them ". The real challenge was just submitting one photo - there were a handful of favorites. I thought the outfit came out really rad and I'm stoked to start on the second piece - I went through a ton of fashion week imagery thanks to the fashion week blog on stylelist.com looking for inspiration pieces and came up with a few I'd like to use in the next challenge. This is really only the beginning xx
