StyleList got an exclusive walk through the sleek space that boasts cathedral-ceilings and looks more like a Chelsea art gallery than an Upper East Side boutique, but that's exactly the way Kroell wants it.
"I wanted to create an airy, secluded space where shoppers could have a serene experience and take in the pieces at their own pace," the designer says.
We can see why!
In addition to a rainbow array of her signature python hobo bags (some colors are exclusive to the store), there are knee-high boots, platform booties, jeweled evening bags and to-die-for ballet flats, all done in exotic skins and buttery leather, plus a whole second floor devoted to Devi Kroell's ready to wear.
If you're in New York, check out the store at 717 Madison Avenue. But don't be surprised if you start justifying a $3,990 accordion bag in stingray and python.
