From Nov. 20 to Nov. 29 (with the exception of Thanksgiving), the non-virtual doors of eBay's first ever holiday store -- at 3 West 57th Street -- will swing open, as reported by WWD.
The 5,500 square-foot temporary store will carry a mix of fashion and beauty products including Norma Kamali's exclusive collaboration with the online retailer, Anthropologie dresses, M.A.C. and Smashbox cosmetics and Michael Kors handbags, according to the paper.
For the less fashion-inclined, there will also be electronics and home and garden products.
Making spending as easy as possible, the retailer will be offering handheld tablets and special Internet kiosks so shoppers can buy from the site. Plus purchases can be made from eBay's iPhone application, reports to the source.
True to the holiday spirit (and the perfect charitable excuse to shop), eBay will also be matching up to $200,000 in sales at the pop-up shop to support Global Giving, Grammy in the Schools, Oxfam America, Right to Play, Save the Children, Share Our Strength, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Starlight, Toys for Tots, U.S. Fund for UNICEF and YouthAIDS.
And lucky early birds will be invited to an opening cocktail party on Thursday, November 19.
eBay isn't the only retailer to pop up in the shopping mecca that is NYC of late. This retailer has relaunched its long-lost Forenza collection at a temporary post in Soho.
