The concept of "mom jeans" has always gotten an undeserved bum rap in this counrty. Low rise, hip hugger jeans are the style for high school girls. Pretty cool up to about age 20. Beyond that they look about as attractive as tight speedos look on guys over 40.

Katie Couric is a gorgeous looking woman. If we're judging by appearance she has a great body for her age. HOWEVER, she doesn't look attractive in low rise hip hugger jeans - that are stylish for thinner teen girls. Katie Couric is not a teen. She looks like she is stuffed into ill fitting, too tight jeans. If you want to be cool and casual at that age stick with "mom jeans" and I promise not to wear a speedo.
