Now, you can get your beauty to go.
Aveda announced today the launch of a mobile commerce platform - m.aveda.com.
One of the beauty industry's first mobile commerce sites, the platform aims to provide clients with easy, on-the-go access to Aveda.com from any web-enabled mobile device.
Fans of the famously natural hair and skincare line will be able to browse and purchase products, search for Aveda salons, retail stores and spa locations, access expert tips on the latest trends in hair care, an read customer reviews.
"At Aveda we are passionate about connecting with our guests, so it was a natural progression to make the brand accessible to consumers anywhere, anytime via their mobile device," says Suzanne Dawson, vice president, global marketing for Aveda. "We know that about 58 million people access the web via their mobile device each day, so the mobile e-commerce site will help create a seamless multi-channel customer experience for our guests."
Aveda is the first brand within Estee Lauder to launch a mobile e-commerce site, and furthers Aveda's position as an innovation leader in the beauty industry, as the company was also the first salon industry brand to launch an e-commerce site.
The site was created as a direct response to high consumer demand for web-enabled phones -- by the end of 2009, Cellular-News predicts that there will be more PDA's than desktop computers.
