Lancôme has snatched the pretty woman.

As announced in today's WWD, Hollywood heavy hitter Julia Roberts joins fellow famous redhead Kate Winslet as the French beauty brand's "global ambassadress." While no contract details have been revealed, industry insiders guesstimate the A-lister could pull in close to what she makes on acting projects – which are said to be upwards of $20 million.

We hear the Oscar-winning actress was a fan of the brand long before the deal was announced; celebrity makeup artist Genevieve has beautified Roberts with Lancôme product for past public appearances. The star's lipstick of choice? Lancôme's L'Absolu Rouge in Rich Cashmere - a hydrating nude praline shade.

"By her remarkable personality and career, Julia Roberts is an emblematic woman of her time. Her exceptional talent, her radiance, and her strong commitments perfectly echo Lancome's values. We are convinced she will embody the brand in the most sublime way possible," says Youcef Nabi, President of Lancôme International.

And the Lancôme contract is just the latest project in what has turned out to be a busy year for the Oscar-winning actress; she is currently in post-production on two movies: "Eat, Pray, Love," which is based on the bestseller by Elizabeth Gilbert, and "Valentine's Day" – which has the same director as "Pretty Woman."

Looks like the baby starlettes will have to step aside and make room for a legend.
