For most of us, "thigh high" is not the most inviting fashion phrase ever uttered.

But after laying eyes on Stuart Weitzman's gorgeous "HiLo" boots, $650; Jildor.com, you might be singing a different tune, which is why we're offering you a chance to win a pair!

There's no denying that this uber-tall style is the boot of the season and, surprise, Victoria Beckham led the way.

If you thought you'd never go this far, a top designer's words of wisdom just might change your mind about how to approach this huge trend. Think: Parisian woman fetching coffee and croissants in 1968, not pre-makeoever Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman."

Shoe guru Stuart Weitzman gives StyleList tips for pulling off (er, on) the trend.

  • These boots are made for a woman who wants to be noticed. Comfort and confidence are key.
  • Stick with classic colors. Brown and black work, and the less ornamentation the better.
  • It is OK to show skin with the high-heel thigh high. But with the flat thigh high, it should be worn with tights, with jeans tucked inside, or with a mini skirt paired with tights.
  • I would say these work best with a simple outfit. Color is certainly not forbidden, but let the thigh-high be the wow factor and the ultimate accessory.

Check out other chic over-the-knee styles at Jildor.

And now that you're a convert, enter to win your very own pair of this season's must-have item -- the Stuart Weitzeman "HiLo" boot.

Here's how to enter:

  • To enter, leave a confirmed comment telling us what you'd wear the boots with.
  • The comment must be left before 5pm ET December 15, 2009.
  • You may enter only once. One winner will be selected in a random drawing.
  • One winner will receive a pair of "HiLo" Stuart Weitzman thigh high boots (valued at $650).
  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 and older.
  • Click here for complete official rules.

If I won those beautiful boots, they would make me feel that I am not 45. but that I am 25 and still "have it". Even after having a baby and being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 10 years ago. If you look at me on the outside, you'd never know what is truly going on in the inside. Wearing a pair of Stuarts boots would really be exciting.

I would wear those awesome boots with a mini dress, or with jeans tucked in to them. They would go great with solid colors, or prints, dressed up, or with an over sized sweater.

I would wear these boots with most everything, especially over skinny jeans, with an over-sized sweater or cardigan. I would also love to pair these boots with a flowy feminie mini dress and opaque tights.

If I had those boots, the question would be what would I NOT wear them with? They are stunningly beautiful, and would be a wonderful addition to my wardrobe when I visit my sister studying abroad in Paris next semester...in the fashion capital of the world! ;)

OMG! Fabulous boots. I love the low heel. I would wear these in black with a pair of satin dressy shorts, textured tights and a cream or white chiffon blouse with one or two pieces of chunky jewelry.

I would wear these boots with a sweater dress and some textured stockings in a flashy color, like burgundy so when seen, it draws the eye directly to the boots. i'd finish the outfit up with an oversized beanie and some vintage bangles and chunky rings

I would wear these boots with a mid thigh denim with fringed edging, lilac tights, black turtleneck sleeveless sweater with long oversized sheer white shirt for accent, to be sure to show off every inch of the georgeous boots.

I would wear these boots with soft gray leggings and an understated boatneck sweater, with a bright floral skirt for a punch of fun and color! I'd finish with pearl earrings and charcoal lace gloves for a retro, feminine look!

Boots always accuenate the leg, and the taller the boot, the better the leg looks. I happen to have very long legs, and I love to show them at their best, and these boots would make my legs look longer than ever before. I wear boots with anything and everything. These would make a statement with my leather pants, my short skirts, my velvet dresses, or even my tunic sweaters and leggings. Show me something I can't wear them with.

i'd wear them with either jeans and a simple shirt, maybe a sexy coat, or with leggings and a long sweater, either way with my hair loosly pulled back with some loose curls falling out, a little basic makeup, maybe defined eyes- sexy, but comfy, simple, and unfussed

I would wear these boots, when I could tear them back from my daughter, with a chunky, black, boatneck tunic, and some sueded leggings. And pretty much anything else I could possibly make an excuse to wear them with, again, if I could keep them out of my daughters hands!

Too many options! I can't think of only one thing to wear with these boots. I'm thinking gray leggings.. or maybe black and a loose fitting top that's a little flowy. The top will be sleeveless (with thin straps- not spaghetti straps) and low cut in the front. I'll also might wear a scarf... then again the boots are so lovely I'll likely ditch the scarf. Jeans would look amazing with theses boots as well!! I might also wear a jacket since it's getting colder, possibly a crop jacket. These boots will make all of the outfits I have in mind look great! I go nuts for flat boots!
