Victoria's Secret Models' Butts Are Not as Perfect as They Seem

Doin' the Butt: How much makeup is this model wearing? Photo: Getty Images

We've finally uncovered Victoria's big secret! The Angels' tushes are not as flawless as they appear on the runway.

"It's all about creating the illusion of a perfect body," Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks told the New York Daily News, referring to the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show. "People don't realize there are about 20 layers of makeup on my butt alone."

The Angels prep in hair and makeup for 3-5 hours before strutting down the runway, with an average of five people, including hairstylists, makeup artists and manicurists, working on each of the 38 models, reports the Daily News.

Don't believe it? Check out this gallery of the runway show, and see for yourself if you can detect any, um, cracks in the surface.

In my opinion, there were only 3 or 4 girls in that entire line up that were worth looking at. I am not a huge fan of Heidi Klum but she looked the best- by a milestone. Most of those girls had bodies that looked horrific. They did not have any shape at all. Sickly and starving looking young women. I can only imagine how skinny they looked in person. I have to wonder why these designers want women with the shape of a 12 year old to market their products. I always thought that the Victorias Secret models should be gorgeous women who have amazing voluptuous bodies. Bodies that would make us all envious. They did a good job selecting the newest angel for the show. She was pretty and looked healthier than the rest of the girls.

I see where you are coming from, but compared to fashion runway models, these girls are downright voluptuous.

I feel that you're not envious of the angel's bodies, meaning you must have an amazing figure. When do we see you join them on the runway? ^_^
They're not that skinny, but they are a bit taller than the average female which helps the illusion..

Apparently these models are examples of what pedophiles and other women think is beautiful. Women with body contours of adolescent boys is not attractive to REAL men. What happened to women whose every inch is unmistakably female, whose voluptuous form does not appear emaciated and shapless? Women today have been brainwashed by the diet industry into believing the skinnier you are, the better. They have been convinced to strive for a body form that is neither attractive or healthy for a vast majority, competing among themselves to see who can get the smallest with little regard for actual beauty. The blame should fall not only on gullible women, but also fashion designers who are mostly homosexual men that try to make women look like adolescent boys. Women of America, stop spending your hard earned money
trying to look like a boy and start flaunting that God given gift of femininety. You have a great future behind you!

Most of these models look like they haven't had a decent meal in days. The only reason they have any boobs at all is because of the push-up bras and corsets. What moron had the bright idea that socks are sexy? I never got into bed with a girl wearing socks. Now, nylons are another entirely. No matter how hot your legs are, nylons can only make them look sexier. Only suntan or nude colors, if you wear a color like blue or green it looks like you're trying to hide something. I bet the first thing those models want when they're done with the show,..... A foot massage! Did you see those shoes?

I am so sick of hearing that models (in general) are ematiated or starve themselves. I happen to be one of those women with the so called "boyish figure." I am like that naturally and have been my whole life. It's incredible that you feel compelled to make such comments about a skinny person (assuming they starve themselves, are anorexic, bulemic, conform to anyone elses standards, obsessed with outer beauty, and in some cases they are branded as drug addicts). You wouldn't dare make such comments about overweight people or to them directly. I smell a double standard. Could it be that all you who feel bold enough to tear skinny people down are obese? My answer is yes because I experienced this first hand my whole life. I had 2 MORBIDLY obese, female supervisors say to me, "My God you are so skinny. Do you ever eat or are you anorexic?" I just responded, "You are overweight. Don't you ever put the fork down or exercise?" That shuts them up in a big old hurry. So get over yourselves and accept the fact that these women are hired because they are a healthy weight and were likely BORN to be that way....not to mention beautiful. This is what Victoria's Secret feels best promotes and sells their goods. Same with all designers. If overwieght people don't like it, start your own company and sell your product using walking heart attacks and cholesterol dumps. Hey it is America afterall and there is a HUGE (pun intended) market to tap into.

I totally agree with you! I am in my 30's and am still as thin as when I was 20 but just more muscle because I work out now. I have always been naturally thin (both my parents are thin,) and even after having 2 babies I am in still in great shape. I eat healthy food, not garbage like most Americans nowadays. I can't tell you how many other moms and non-moms just can't believe I had 2 kids and "don't you eat"..blah blah blah. It's annoying and I'm tired of having to apologize for their insecurities. It's not my fault they are obese, lazy. or just naturally bigger. And the V.S. models are all thin, but toned and they look healthy. No one wants to look at a lingerie catalog with women who weigh 200+lbs!! That's not what sells!

Many will ask: Whats wrong with looking healthy? Nothing. Except when you try to achieve body proportions that are not compatible with your natural physiology. Women have many body types that cover a full range from heavy to light. Those with heavy structures cannot attain a size two and expect health benefits. Those who are determinded to starve themselves or become anorexic are doing far more harm than good. Different societies have dictated what comprisies beauty, from Asians deforming their feet and extending their necks with rings, to western culture of respiratory restrictive corsettes and girdles. The habit of fainting was not being dramatic as much as it was attributible to not being able to breathe deeply.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you are of naturally small stature, fine. I have no problem with that. The problem comes from those who believe ALL women (and men) should be same as you are. Personally, I prefer women with soft, feminine curves and fullness where it naturally occurs. You will always find people who make snide comments, wheather based on jealousy or hurtful intent. We must always realize the differences inherit to all people should be respected and be thankeful we are not all alike.

all the people saying that the models are disgustingly skinny and "what pedophiles are attracted to" are probably overweight bitter middle aged women desperately trying to feel better about themselves. get over it, they are hot and healthy. they are actually probably much more healthy than you since they exercise and eat healthy meals.

I can say that some are bit to skinny but others have an okay body. And no im not a middle aged fat woman. And i agree some women are born with a slim skinny figure while others work on having one and maintaining one is not that difficult. I have been into sports since i was 9 and im 24 now and my figure is not skinny or voluptuous, but just muscle everywhere having trained martial arts but i wont get into the figure women get from sports. The one thing that upsets me in general about the model and fashion industry is height. Why cant the pay attention to the petite girls ? People always attack the weight but they never seem to care about the height. There are soo many gorgeous petite girls out there with a perfect figure that would do great on a catwalk. Sadly no one pays any attention to that =( And some girls just end up saying if only i was taller people can notice me.

I'll admit I am overweight. I'm not obese by medical standards so don't anybody go there. It's not so much that they're skinny, it's more that girls like me who aren't morbidly obese and aren't extremely skinny, get told we're ugly from both ends. Fat girls say you're skinny; skinny girls say you're fat. I hate my body, I'm not attractive.
and this is me: http://s720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/SexxiChick/?action=view¤t=Beachh-1.jpg
