Purple Lab and its star product, Huge Lips, Skinny Hips lip gloss, will appear on the show on February 18 at 8pm ET, represented by brand founder Karen Robinovitz (who writes a column for StyleList called Beauty BLab).
"Although it's been in existence for almost 32 years, HSN is the most modern retail platform because it is the only way that a brand's creator can share the stories behind the products, express the passion that goes into them, something that can never be conveyed on a traditional sales floor," says Robinovitz.
"The message of what you're about will never get confused or watered-down. I'm a story teller by nature and this is the most perfect forum for me to talk about everything that goes into making the products and brand special," she adds.
To kick off the show, Purple Lab and HSN is holding an online model search to find the perfect gal to embody the spirit of Purple Lab -- and help sell some lip gloss. (That's what being a model is all about, after all.)
"We believe in real beauty - no stereotypes," says Robinovitz. "No need to be 5'10" and 2 pounds. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors and we are looking for someone who evokes the spirit and energy of the brand - fun, cheeky, sharp, confidence, glamour."
The chosen model will win a trip to Florida and appear on camera with Robinovitz to to introduce five new products (available for pre-order now): Lashionista Modelista liquid liner and mascara duo, Silk Sheets luxe foundation, Luvah plumping lip stain, Luxury Squared 2-in-1 concealer and highlighter and Cheek Implants cream blush with collagen.
They're looking for fun, smart women in all shapes, colors and sizes so if you think you've got what it takes, go to purplelabnyc.com to enter.
