We're looking forward to a swirly, girlie spring line from M.A.C. Cosmetics.

The web buzz-o-meter is hitting a fever pitch with gossip about a makeup collaboration between the edgy makeup line and prepster designer Lilly Pulitzer, reportedly called M.A.C. in Lilly Land.

The official announcement from the company should come next week, but NY Magazine's The Cut is reporting that Pulitzer, who is famous for wild pastel and paisley prints that are a favorite of the Palm Beach set, collaborated with M.A.C. for a colorful makeup line that will feature eye shadows, glosses and nail polishes in tangy sorbet shades.

Pulitzer joins a long list of famous M.A.C. collaborators -- most recently Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper for Viva Glam -- that are very different in their overall sensibilities: for example, this fall they collaborated with DSquared² whose downtown-favorite designs are worlds apart from Pulitzers' polo match-worthy prints.

But each of the company's choices are tied together with a similarly fearless approach -- whether it's to red latex dresses or pastel paisleys -- which is the true DNA of M.A.C.
