Pantone -- the global authority on color standards and trends -- just announced the color of the year for 2010. It's turquoise!
According to Pantone turquoise has universally positive connotations -- it's inviting, soothing and yet slightly invigorating. Because it evokes tropical lagoons, turquoise represents an escape from the troubles of everyday reality.
And it's pretty! Expect to see turquoise popping up in fashion, beauty and interior design for 2010.
A few ways to add a splash of color to your beauty routine:
Nails: Nicole by OPI Gobal Beauty nail polish on your toes or -- if your office dress code allows it -- your fingernails.
Hair: Add a turquoise headband (check out this one from L. Erickson) when you need to dress up a neutral outfit FAST.
