Last night at the glittering uptown Bloomingdales, Bobbi Brown and Lauren Bush – co-founder of FEED and niece of former President George W. Bush – launched a charitable pouch filled with three of Brown's favorite lip glosses.

Each $45 FEED 10 pouch purchase will provide 10 disadvantaged women with food and job training through the United Nations Food for Work Program, and is made of sustainable materials using fair trade labor.

The glosses? Petal, Rose Sugar and Aubergine – all sheer and universally flattering shades.

"This project is really special to me because it's about female empowerment – women helping women succeed," Brown tells StyleList.

So what is the famous makeup maven's top beauty tip?

"First, you have to be happy and healthy. You can't be pretty without the two things," says Brown. "And I have an empty compact that I've filled with customized colors, and always keep it with me. A concealer, a pot rouge and black or espresso gel eyeliner – I can do my entire face from that in the car if I have to!" adds Brown.

A former model, the tall and creamy complected Bush names bronzer as her must-have – "It makes me look alive!" she says. The Princeton graduate also has a special request for Santa this year.

"I'd love to get a Kindle – if for nothing else, for my back alignment! I'm crazy about reading and am always lugging heavy big books around with me."

And the 25 year-old entrepreneur, whose FEED bags are carried at stores like Whole Foods and Barnes & Nobles, has tried and true advice for other women looking to start their own businesses and charities.

"Follow your heart and never take 'no' for an answer. There's always a way to make it work."
