Victoria Beckham, Marc Jacobs to Design Fur Collection?

So much for the fur backlash!

Rumors are swirling that Victoria Beckham and Marc Jacobs are teaming up to design a line with fur, Elle UK reports.

The gossip mill started churning after LVMH exec Edo Jao reportedly posted this message on Twitter: "Well hanging with Vic B and MJ is going real well, I think they're talking about a line with fur. Launching pre-emptive PETA strike now."

The duo is said to have met up in Paris over the weekend, the site reports, hence Jao's blabber-mouthing.

Beckham is certainly no stranger to animal skins, and her fashion collection is red-hot right now. (And Marc Jacobs isn't too shabby himself.)

Still, the ongoing fur controversy might prove to be more than the pint-sized former pop star/Marc Jacobs model can handle.

Then again, they could always enlist walking fur ad Naomi Campbell to model the collection and watch the fur fly.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Leave the fur on the animals.

I will never purchase anything from Marc Jacobs again! Never had any intentions of buying anything from Victoria Beckham, so no worries there.

NOOOOOOOOO!!! I'm so disappointed that she'd even collaborate on a faux fur line, it still promotes fur!! Fur rendering is HORRENDOUS! It's the cruelest most god awful act of atrocity to any living creature on the planet!!! IT'S MOSTLY DONE IN CHINA AND THEY TAKE THE SKINS OFF OF THEM ALIVE! It costs money to kill them, and they're all about the money, and unfortunately in China, they don't typically feel for animals or think they are anything more then a tomato, and they have devices that hold them while they skin them alive in agony, and then they die of shock. Go google and look it up, you will find the videos. The video of them doing this to a fox will keep you up without sleep for a few days, it's burns in your mind forever. Fur is pain, pure and simple. AND IT'S NOT JUST ADORABLE FOXES, IT'S PUPPIES AND KITTENS NOW!!!! Stop the persecution of animals for being born what they are, are and tortured because of it!

So sorry to learn about the fur line. Marc jacobs is an incredibly
talented designer, but using fur is not modern or cool. No
intelligent, informed, humane person can possibly accept the use of
fur in fashion - it is unneccesary, cruelly tortures living
creatures, and is the farthest thing from true style and elegance.
Producing and wearing fur products is a declaration of ignorance,
callousness, and carelessness. Now, although he used to be a
favorite, I am completely put off admiring anything created by Marc
Jacobs. Here's a list of conscientious designers/producers:
