If you've sudsed up with a natural shampoo recently, you've most likely suffered no lather and only had flat strands to show for it. But L'Oreal Professionnel wants to change that.

Coming this spring to a salon near you: The reformulated previously-only-available-in-Europe Série Naturelle collection - a line of sulfate-free, paraben-free and silicone-free products made with 100% natural fragrances, colors and recycled packaging.

We're excited.

This stuff doesn't stink of the heady natural oils from the beauty aisle of Whole Foods; at their recent launch event, we noticed gentle, "clean" scents from all of the products. Plus, we scored the fresh-feeling lather that's impossible to feel clean without.

How does the Parisian-chic brand do it? Coconut derivatives provide the foaming action that the company says was previously only achieved with chemicals.

And we already have a couple of stand-out favorites; a creamy cacao masque that surprisingly gives body and condition to light hair without weighing it down, and an olive oil shampoo for dry strands that contains rich tomato lycopene, which counters the environmental stresses that damage hair fibers.

There are no styling products in the line yet because the science of blending organic ingredients with styling performance hasn't been achieved yet– but something tells us it's not too far off.

With prices ranging from $23 to $33, organic sure doesn't come cheap; but for picky beauty chicks looking to add more natural goodness to their personal care routine, it's well worth the splurge.
