If you're hip to the casual metro-chic vibe of American Apparel's vibrantly colored basics, we've got good news for you.

The fashion retailer is debuting an 18-shade line of glossy nail lacquers as colorful as their trademark tees; you can check the shades out in stores beginning today.

"We think this nail polish captures what American Apparel is all about – a Made-in-the-USA, high-quality product in a beautiful range of colors," American Apparel Creative Director Marsha Brady tells WWD. "It's a painterly range of colors designed for long-term appeal and creative interpretation. We put equal focus on making sure the polish and the colors were both durable and beautiful," Brady added.

The shade Factory Grey is sure to be a top seller. Photo:

Not surprisingly, the organic cotton-loving and eco-friendly brand has formulated polishes without toxins like formaldehyde and toluene.

Each exclusive shade retails for $6 a pop, or you can score savings with the three-pack for $15.

Some super chic picks? Try the red Downtown LA, Factory Grey or dark black Hassid – a name inspired by American Apparel's Jewish roots. And if you're overwhelmed by all the creative options, fight the urge to go matchy-matchy with your outfit. A shade that contrasts your clothing – like pairing red polish with a gray sweater – can accessorize your wardrobe much like jewelry does, making an old sweater look "new" again.

Endless options for $6 bucks? We like the sound of that.
