, the queen of reinvention, is refashioning herself once again for the Spring/Summer 2010 Dolce & Gabbana
ad campaign. The theme: sexy Italian housewife.
The smoldering black and white ads -- shot by famed fashion photographer Steven Klein
in New York -- capture the 51-year-old Material Girl
in the act of domestic chores like washing dishes and peeling onions while dressed to the nines in signature Dolce & Gabbana
: corseted waists
, lots of cleavage
, leopard print
and the same hip-hugging floral silk skirt that Rachel McAdams dons on Vogue's January cover

The usually lean and mean star
-- who was replaced by Lara Stone
in the Spring/Summer 2010 Louis Vuitton
ads -- is even seen (gasp) eating carbs in the form of a big bowl of spaghetti. She also looks a tad fuller than we're used to, but that could just be camera work and push-up bras.
Hmmm... we wonder if Kate Moss
and Karl Lagerfeld
The images, which will be published in Italian Vanity Fair
this week, seem a far cry from Madonna
's luxe reality, which is probably the point.
