Actress Brittany Murphy died suddenly on December 20, 2009 at the tender age of 32.
Details are developing, but TMZ has reported the cause of death was cardiac arrest.
The star is perhaps best known for her role in "Clueless," in which she played a teenage fashion victim who was "saved" by a makeover from Alicia Silverstone's character.
Following "Clueless," life imitated art and Brittany Murphy gave herself an off-screen makeover as well, swapping her naturally brown hair for a sleek, honey-blonde shade, which she maintained for most of her career.
The star was spotted back to brunette recently at Hollywood party for the Tt pop-up collection, which she attended on Dec. 3.
There were no public signs of health trouble for the stylish star, who famously dated Ashton Kutcher in 2002.
Elle magazine pays tribute to the starlet by looking back at her on-screen style though the years (tragically cut short with her passing).

Murphy is the latest in a string of famous losses this year, including Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Patrick Swayze.
