Naomi Campbell Drops Lawsuit Because of 'Litigation Exhaustion'
No stranger to courtroom drama, the supermodel has dropped a lawsuit against her former personal assistant, citing "litigation exhaustion," reports the London Evening Standard.
Campbell originally sued Vanessa Frisbee for £25,000 (or roughly $40,000) for allegedly breaching confidentiality by selling a story about the British beauty to News of the World back in 2000, according to the paper.
However, the 39-year old is no legal novice, from infamously throwing a cell phone at her housekeeper to winning a privacy case against the Daily Mirror, we're wondering why the sudden about-face?
Is this an early indication of a possible New Year's resolution, or could it be because Campbell is turning -- gasp! -- 40 next year?
Whatever the reason, a clean slate, in this case, comes with a hefty price tag.
The High Court official presiding over Campbell's case, said that "while he could understand the model's 'exhaustion with litigation' she must still pay 90 percent of Miss Frisbee's legal costs," along with her own attorney's fees of $482,039, the source reported.
That's at least three crocodile Birkin bags!
While we could be seeing a new, more mature and drama-free Naomi come 2010, she's still a fashion force to be reckoned with.
