Looks like it's going to be a happy new ear for Jessica Simpson.

In a strange Twitter video, the pop star is shown holding a burning candle to her ear as her hairstylist/BFF Ken Paves sings Christmas songs to her off-camera.

Although it's not clearly stated in the video, it seems as though the ex-Mrs. Lachey is trying the alternative medicine practice of ear candling, which is meant to remove ear wax and promote well-being.

In the video, Jess giggles and complains about being nauseous while Ken sings to calm her nerves. Jess's money-making locks are protected from the flame by a candle tray that Ken fashioned out of a Papa John's pizza box. Classy!
