Models...love 'em or hate 'em, they're a permanent fixture in our lives. Every day, they peer down at us, scantily clad, from larger-than-life billboards, or strut into our living rooms in scandalously seductive commercials.

Modelinia, a website that chronicles the trials and travails of the annoyingly gorgeous, has put together a list of the most buzz worthy supermodel moments of 2009. While they run the gamut from heart-warming (Natalia and her kids, aww) to industry-hating, our three favorite categories -- Best Runway, Biggest Do-Gooder and Best Model Collaboration -- are below.

Best Runway Moment went to Miranda Kerr strutting down the Balenciaga Spring 2010 catwalk. At this show, she took her career and her sweet Australian look to a whole new and sophisticated level.

Biggest Do-Gooder went to Naomi Campbell. This mega-supermodel devoted her time to many different causes this year including her collaboration with Louis Vuitton for the White Ribbon Alliance and her contribution to the Parisian fashion house's annual vintage sale to benefit charity.

Best Model Collaboration went to Kate Moss who co-hosted the 2009 Costume Institute Gala in a custom, metallic turban and mini dress created by designer and fellow co-host Marc Jacobs. Kate also made our 10 Best Fashion Moments of 2009 for her one of a kind, shiny ensemble.
