Plus-Size Models Sizzle in V Magazine Fashion Shoot

As we previously reported, V Magazine is taking the new year -- or at least its newest issue -- to celebrate women of all body types in the aptly named "Size Issue," starring both plus-size models and their pint-size counterparts.

In addition to this fashion face-off starring plus-size beauty Crystal Renn, we've got another sneak peek from the edgy publication whose special issue (#63) hits newsstands on Jan. 14.

Titled "Curves Ahead," the Solve Sundsbo-photographed story features five plus-size bombshells in sexy getups ranging from body-hugging denim and thigh-baring bodysuits (identical to the one J.Lo rocks in her "Fresh Out The Oven" video, in fact) to corsets and... well... nothing at all (except for Dior pumps).

"I loved the opportunity to show that you can be beautiful and sexy outside the narrow interpretations that normally define us," said Sundsbo of the five voluptuous ladies -- Candice Huffine, Marquita Pring, Michelle Olson, Tara Lynn and Kasia P. -- who fog up his lens.

Check out the below gallery for more stunning images from the photo shoot.

Forget something?

Marquita (left) wears a form-fitting sweater by Pringle of Scotland, bangles by Fallon, pumps by Sergio Rossi and little else.

Model Kasia P. (right) channels J. Lo in a leopard-print Agent Provocateur bodysuit, Marc Jacobs bag strap worn as a belt, bangles and ring by Alexis Bittar and prim and proper heels by Chanel.

V Magazine - Curves Ahead

Michelle (left) continues the enduring pantless trend in a corset and briefs by Dolce & Gabbana and a bangle by Fallon.

Nothing comes between Candice and her Guess jeans and Tara and her Seven7s (sold exclusively at Lane Bryant).

V Magazine - Curves Ahead

Tara leaves little to the imagination in Dior shoes, Fallon bangles and Rachel Leigh earrings.

So fat is now "real women"? Are you kidding me? Don't get me wrong. I find all bodies to be beautiful but saying one size or the other is a "real woman" is a joke. A "real woman" if you actually take the time to look around you is a size 5 or 6. Not 14, not 18. There are plenty of "real women" out there who also wear 0, 1, 3 etc. Yes, there are women who have health problems that deal with weight but promoting obesity in all women is a tragedy. Try promoting healthy eating instead!

Damned right, the avg woman is a size 10-14 here in the US, and while FAT isn't good, women with breast and thighs and a butt is a move in the right direction.

This plus-size stuff is driving me nuts. Some of these plus-size women need to drop a few pounds. When there are rolls of fat over one's waist and on one's back, something needs to be done. That is not beautiful, it is revolting.

Why must those two heifers play grab-ass in the photo? That is revolting also.

Sexy? Beautiful? Or an excuse to overeat and call it OK?

It would be nice if they actually used some women that were PLUS size. I know you all think that a size 14 is plus, but face it.....IT'S NOT. Put in a few real plus women.

Uh, yeah, size 14 is plus-size. There is a difference in plus-size and obese. These women are beautiful, no doubt. But you are talking about Beth Ditto - sized women. That is just as unattractive and unhealthy as a size zero.

I hate that they are labeled as "Plus-Size" models. They are not "Plus-Size". They are beautiful, sexy, regular women. The average "model" is underweight and does not look attractive. I have dated women of all shapes and sizes, and I have found that a woman whose weight is proportional to their height have higher self-esteem, better attitudes, and overall, are more attractive. They also seem to be in better overall health. One day society will realize that a regular size woman has been and always will be beautiful. It is a wonderful thing that the magazines are finally realizing that regular size women are beautiful and they are giving them the recognition that they deserve. Final thought, the caption that says "Plus-size has never looked so good" is wrong, wrong, wrong. "Plus-Size" has always looked good. Bring on the curves.

Why do you people complain that "stick" figures are not good examples for children. Is a person that is over the average healthy weight a good one then? It just shows how irrational you guys are. Think before the insults come out. Are you just saying it to make your self feel better. It seems you guys won't be happy until a morbidly obese woman pops up on the cover of Vogue. I'm not trying to defend the skinny models but neither a "stick" figure or a person over the average weight is a good example. Only average weight women should be considered.

Amen sister... all the way. There is no need to be uber skinny... but be healthy. NO, healthy does not mean plus size. Obesity is a health issue and it should be viewed in the same light as anorexia. I don't want to see fat women nor do I want to see sticks. Why can't we have normal sized models? Make the fat ones lose weight and the skinny ones gain some.

Amen, Laurenzia! The bony models are too thin and these women are too big. If they weigh this much, this young, what are they gonna look like in middle and old age? If you like big women then these ladies are for you. But they are all at least 15 pounds overweight and those skin-tight jeans need to GO.

Not all of those women are overweight according to medical standards - fashion standards mean anyone over about size 4 is "plus" just because they are over size 4!. I am at a healthy weight, and my body is very similar to those women pictured - not stick thin, but curvy enough, and not overweight.

Overweight is a medical term, for a person who has or maintains an unhealthy body weight. Do not confuse it with Fashion industries sub-standard sizing that caters to the anorexics!

And healthy weights do not account only for weight and height - how many of you women could honestly fit into a size zero pair of pants without breaking your hips?!?!. For those of us with wider (curvy) hips, no amount of dieting will make us fit a size zero! I couldn't - My hips are still a tad bony despite my 150 lb. frame. I proudly wear a size ten.

those women, yes are beautiful but according to fashion standard they are plus size. HOWEVER, a sz 8 is tiny in my opinion. i wore a size 14-16 through high school and i was 150lbs. i was thin and in shape. Some woman need more weight on them while others, i can say definitely need to lose some (me being in the later since i've been through 2 pregnancies and havent managed to lose weight between them). Everyone has different standards and to all men who say healthy woman (not sticks) are attractive, you are a real man who doesnt just look for looks. thank you. currently i'm proud to wear a sz 18 but i have 2 kids and a hubby who deploys often so going to the gym is not an easy feat. and when a doctor tells you according the BMI, you're overweight. Tell him bullshit and walk out! BMI doesnt take into account family history or bone structure. We're not identical. healthy woman look better. All there is too it. No matter their actual size. Well proportioned and healthy is good. But it's fantastic to see larger woman featured over the really tiny ones.
