Eco-chicsters take note: as in first note, top note and base note.

Seattle perfumery Sweet Anthems along with Blue Marble Energy, an organization committed to cutting emissions, claims to have released the first ever carbon-free fragrance.

Called "Eos" after the Greek goddess of dawn, the fragrances for women and men are made using sourced ingredients from local suppliers and qualified distributors of organic, sustainable and wild-harvested materials.

Then, instead of the petrochemical base used in most perfumes, Blue Marble supplied carbon-neutral bioesters made from certified organic brewery grain, otherwise known as brewery sludge. Great things can come from not-so-lovely names.

The women's fragrance is a bright green (literally) floral containing notes of neroli, tea rose, sandalwood and green tea, while the men's or unisex edition has a blend of white ginger, apricot, cognac and honeysuckle.

At $30 a pop via Blue Marble's Website, smelling "green" may be worth a whiff or two.

Meanwhile, celebs are also cashing in on the perfume game.
