Making a surprise appearance in Las Vegas for this year's Consumer Electronics Show, Gaga announced at a party for photography icon Polaroid that she will serve as creative director for a specialty line of the company's imaging products.
"I am so proud to announce my new partnership with Polaroid," she says. "The Haus of Gaga has been developing prototypes in the vein of fashion/technology/photography innovation -- blending the iconic history of Polaroid and instant film with the digital era -- and we are excited to collaborate on these ventures with the Polaroid brand.
Lifestyle, music, art, fashion: I am so excited to extend myself behind the scenes as a designer, and to as my father puts it, finally have a real job," the provocative performer adds.
Lady Gaga may sing about the "Paparazzi," but she's no longer just the star in the picture -- she's now the brains behind the lens, too.
New products from the partnership are due out late 2010.
