The plot thickens, kids.
Yesterday we reported that Lindsay Lohan had accused pal Patrick "Pootie" Aufdenkamp of running "auf" with sketches for her 6126 fashion line.
Well now it looks like Lohan might be the one with sticky fingers.
The actress has been accused of copying designs from other designers for 6126's just-announced expanded clothing collection, WWD reports.
(Got a headache yet?)
Black Milk Clothing designer James Lillis reportedly posted photos of Lohan's cut-out "Diamond" leggings and his "Sheer Spartans," blogging, "Sucks to be me!!!"
Fashionista also played detective, citing similarities between 6126's "Deserve" dress and a frock from designer Jen Kao -- which Lohan was busted wearing in a photo taken last year.
Oh, Lindsay.
"While we are all well aware that being 'mimicked' or 'copied' has always existed in this industry," Kao said, "I think the evolution of it all has grown to an alarming level.
"It's a shame to support the concept of taking advantage of designers who are still trying to develop a name and solidify the image of their design aesthetic."
Snap! So what's the word from the 6126 camp?
"The alleged 'copying' claims made by these companies are false and have absolutely no merit or validity whatsoever," 6126 president Kristi Kaylor told the source.
"Any alleged similarities are purely coincidental. The 6126 illustrations for the upcoming Fall 2010 collections do not even describe the fabric content, fit or actual construction details of the garments.
"This is merely an accusation based upon a pencil sketch with no concrete viable evidence to back up the allegations."
This isn't the first time Lohan's been accused of some "heavy lifting." As we previously reported, she was hit last year with a lawsuit alleging that she stole the idea for her Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist.
In Lohan's defense, nobody has yet to step forward and take credit for her Ungaro collection. Wonder why...
