It turns out Sarah Jessica Parker might be that special someone, according to E! Online.
The "Sex and the City" star is actually sporting a Halston Heritage dress on the promo for the upcoming sequel "Sex and the City 2." Perhaps the powers that be, namely Harvey Weinstein, liked the way it looked and made an offer.
It's been reported the actress will take on an actual design role with the recently launch Halston Heritage collection, a less expensive version of the brand.
While often considered a living fashion plate, donning cutting-edge clothing on most public occasions, her wardrobe was most influenced by Patricia Field, the costume designer on the SATC television series and movies. Parker did lend her name to the Bitten collection she designed and sold at the now-defunct Steve & Barry's chain.
SATC castmate Kristin Davis also had no luck with her fashion line for Belk Stores.
Halston, in the meantime, has had a revolving cast of characters involved with its repositioning since Harvey Weinstein decided to bring it back from the dead.
Jimmy Choo's Tamara Mellon is a backer and Rachel Zoe was meant to be a creative consultant, but she is no longer involved with the label. Designer Marco Zanini was hired early on and then fired. These days, it's designed by an unnamed team.
Reps for Halston and Parker did not return calls for comment.
For a more controversial celeb consultant, well, we'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
