Smack dab in the middle of her fashion-forward world tour, the ubiquitous songstress is making a pit stop in Chicago to appear on "Oprah."
News of the superstar performer's live appearance came in the form of a tweet from Sheri Salata, Oprah's executive producer. "Lady Gaga to appear on Friday," she wrote.
That was enough for fans of the performer to go gaga.
Will Lady Gaga sing? Sit down for a chat with Oprah? Will she be all serious and wear a poker face? Or will she let the daytime diva bring out her softer side in a revealing and teary interview?
Maybe she'll just plug her new comic book. We all know Oprah loves books. Here's our suggestion: Oprah's favorite doc, Mehmet Oz, should show up to help Lady Gaga chill. She's got to be stressed. No word on any of that from Harpo, Oprah's production company.
For Lady Gaga, the visit may just be another notch in her couture belt. Oprah is probably the only place she hasn't made an appearance in the last 12 months.
Gaga's new year began in style with her Jan. 6 appearance on Bravo's "Launch My Line," where she chose a bolt of red vinyl fabric to inspire contestants to mimic her avant-garde style. She sat for a subdued one-on-one with Barbara Walters. Then it was off to the Consumer Electronics Show to announce her new deal with Polaroid.
Here's something we can confidently predict about the Gaga/Oprah summit: There will be no blood-soaked mock suicides to rival her controversial performance at the VMAs. On Oprah, our girl will be all Lady.
