Silvery Shades Shine at the Golden Glodes

Perhaps they should rename them the Silver Globes, because the Golden Globes red carpet was all about steely glances.
Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Heidi Klum, and Rose Byrne all wore varying shades of gray -- some silvery, others tinged with purple in a new trend we're calling grurple.
"Muted tones of plum, pink and violet that all have a grayed undertone are very popular for Spring/Summer 2010," Romero Jennings, M.A.C's Senior Vice President of Artistry, tells StyleList. But more on that later...
We got the scoop that celebrity makeup artist Ana Marie created Byrne's silvery smoky eye using Lancome Eyeshadow Quad in Innocence Couture, sweeping the pale shade Positive all over the eyelid and blending Fashion Scoop and Backstage Pass at the lash line.
So Grey Gardens may have won a Golden Globe, but we're giving a beauty award to the shadow instead.
