Kelly Rowland may be a "Survivor," but she's apparently not much of a "returner."
The former Destiny's Child singer has been accused of failing to return outfits loaned to her by Laura Dawson, the London-based designer told us.
In an exclusive interview with StyleList, Dawson says that she sent Rowland and her stylist clothes via requested overnight shipping on Dec. 2. The clothes arrived on Dec. 3 with a promise to be returned on Dec. 10.
But Dawson says she has yet to get her clothes back, after seven weeks on loan.
According to Dawson, Rowland's stylist said she was waiting for her client to return the clothes. Now, the designer says she hasn't heard back since Dec. 23, with more than 30 calls and emails about the whereabouts of the clothes going unanswered.
"I'm sure it's all a misunderstanding," Dawson tells StyleList. "But it isn't good for a designer to have items borrowed, not photographed and not returned.
"There is kind of a perception among celebrities that any association with them is good, but this situation isn't helpful.
"I have worked with a number of other clients who were great. It's too bad that this has happened with Ms. Rowland. She's a great performing artist and it would have been lovely to have a positive relationship with her."
Tsk, tsk. You know Beyonce wouldn't pull that kind of nonsense. Maybe it's time to hit FedEx?
Meanwhile, see which designer declined Lady Gaga's request for borrowed clothes.
