The licensing agreement puts ANG -- a privately held manufacturer and marketer of premier brand name and private label handbags, luggage and accessories -- at the helm of designing, manufacturing and distributing a full range of Bebe handbags and small leather goods.
While Bebe previously carried a limited selection of handbags at its boutiques, this is the first time the brand is venturing into the accessory wholesale business.
StyleList scored an exclusive sneak peek at the Fall 2010 collection, including the 'Denim Darling' group (pictured above), which hits select department and specialty stores worldwide, as well as Bebe retail locations and bebe.com in July.
From the looks of things, Bebe's handbags will reflect the brand's sexy, edgy, and flirtatious core by focusing on contemporary silhouettes. Ruffles, chains, bows and hearts adorn the collection's assortment of mini bags, satchels and totes, which all featuring custom Bebe hardware.
Key colors include neutrals like chocolate brown, cream and black, while jewel tones like plum, teal and sapphire make a bolder statement. And in true Bebe spirit, there are naturally some metallics in the mix.
The collection will range from $38-$45 for small leather goods, $58-$128 for PVC styles and up to $200 for leather handbags.
"We look forward to partnering with Accessory Network as we expand our product assortments and extend our reach into new distribution channels in the U.S. and worldwide," said Manny Mashouf, Bebe's Chairman and CEO told StyleList.
Adding, "ANG is a great match because they are well-known industry leaders in affordable 'trend right' style and have an exceptional track record in design, sourcing and distribution."
ANG sees the collection being a good fit for better department stores including Macy's, Dillards and Lord & Taylor.
