The House of Givenchy is ready to usher in spring with the launch of their makeup collection, New Impressions.

Inspired by colored inks and stains, Givenchy's spring line personifies the delicate and ethereal essence of the season, accentuated with shades of peach, mauve and coffee.

StyleList attended an editors event at the LVMH headquarters on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan where we were treated to makeovers and tutorials and got the inside dish on the collection.

Artistic Director Nicolas Degennes wanted a new beginning for Givenchy this spring -- building on this concept of a blank page and bringing in lightness and vivacity with makeup like you would with a stroke of a pen.

Keeping in line with this ideal, the eyeshadows, bronzers and blushes are comprised of monochromatic powders in four unique finishes (light pearly, intense pearly, mat and sequined) that when applied to the face it creates a smooth and even finish.

We love Givenchy's quad makeup design because there's no room for error! Women who may be intimidated by the layout can dive in, try it out and look beautiful no matter which direction their brush glides across the compact.

Another standout is the lashtastic Phenomen'Eyes - Effet Extension. Now in a limited edition shade, Purple Impression, you can totally skip the liner and boost your lashes with this vibrant mascara.

While our must-haves from the collection are the It Girl Purple blush, Dressy Indigo eyeshadow and Sun Cinnamon face powder, we're sure you'll unleash your inner artiste this spring with Givenchy.

's New Impressions is now available at and will hit stores nationwide in February.
